New York City is still using refrigerated trucks to store bodies of coronavirus victims, more than a year after they were first set up as temporary morgues as deaths surged at at the height of the pandemic.

  1. Unless you bought a grave site 40 years ago a person is not getting buried anywhere in the 5 burrows. Legally that is. You have to go to upstate or central Ny. Just think more die a year from smoking.

  2. I can’t even imagine the smell and toxins. Considering they are not prepared and frozen. Just being refrigerated for 7 months. My goodness that’s ridiculous.

    1. These bodies are those that go unclaimed by anyone with the resources to bury them. They are essentially property of the city, waiting for burial in a potter’s field using tax dollars. NYC is always playing catch-up with dealing with bodies of street dwellers, addicts, etc.

  3. People that died from smoking was their choice. The cover up with Covid deaths is on Como’s bad choices and trying to cover those deaths in the nursing homes was criminal. The two are not the same!!
