Eastbound US 50 traffic detoured at Exit 37. Eastbound Bay Bridge left lane remains closed for incident with police response just beyond the bridge. All westbound lanes are open.Beach bound traffic should follow detour from MD 8 to return to eastbound US 50. Eastbound delays are 2.5 miles.
Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is handling an incident and both EB and WB lanes are closed on the Bay Bridge. We are urging everyone to plan ahead and avoid the area at this time. We will continue to share traffic information from MDTA as we can.

Limit amount of vehicles to cross on to the Eastern Shore per day. Only exceptions would be residents with verified permanent home address on the Shore, Verified business deliveries on the Shore. Second residents and Vacation / beach homes not acceptable to bypass the allowed number of vehicles allowed. Also OC should do the same for the 50 & 90 Street bridges. There are beaches on the Western Shore they can attend.
Critics would then complain about the north nut cases from NJ / NY. Do the same there to.
The Eastern Shore is an ISLAND in case you all don’t know your geography.
This would eliminate the high risk and safety factors that attributed to these unwanted visitors.
