After mass hysteria inspired policies that confined hundreds of millions of Americans to their homes for months last year, Dr. Anthony Fauci is now realizing that on second thought, actually there’s no real risk of spreading COVID-19 outdoors.
That sure is great to know now, isn’t it?
While science is always evolving, one must be skeptical that this is something they’re only now learning. After all, we didn’t hear a peep from our scientist overlords when tens of millions of people were crowding the streets to protest following George Floyd’s death. Either they knew there was no real risk of the virus spreading this way, or they’re just political hacks who didn’t want to speak out against a cause their favor (to be fair, each scenario is equally likely).
I’m sure that due to massive job losses, phycological damage, drug and alcohol abuse, and other harms spurred by “shelter at home” orders, Fauci will at least have the decency to give the American public a brief apology.
