Blinken to allow pride flag to fly at U.S. embassies

(NEWSMAX) – Secretary of State Antony Blinken will allow U.S. diplomatic outposts to fly the Pride flag alongside the U.S. flag, in a reversal from the State Department under his predecessor, Mike Pompeo.

Blinken, in a confidential cable obtained by Foreign Policy, gave the authorization to fly the Pride flag ahead of May 17, which is the international day against homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia, and before Pride month begins in June. However, this authorization does include a caveat saying that the heads of a mission or embassy can choose whether or not to fly the flag based on if it’s “appropriate in light of local conditions.”

One internal State Department cable warns that in certain countries, expressing support for legalizing or decriminalizing same-sex relationships could hurt U.S. diplomatic efforts in some countries.

  1. This is what happens when you vote for queer politicians. Everything is focused on their personal feelings and not the job tasks that they are hired to carry out.

  2. “appropriate…conditions.”
What that coded language means is DO NOT fly that BS in a muslim country because they KILL people like that and they may KILL YOU for flying that flag.
Piss off and offend all the Americans you like. You can shoot and beat us if we get out of line.

Muslims will KILL YOU and you don’t want to offend any of THEM. Make the right decision….lol

Our leaders. Leading on their knees and doing the best they can to get the rest of us on our knees, too.

Keep cheering their brave liberal BS.

  3. WHY? That flag doesn’t stand for our country. It doesn’t represent ALL Americans. Are we now going to let any group that comes up with a flag fly theirs at U.S. Embassies? The only flag that should be flown at any US embassy is the Stars and Stripes, period! Personally I’m offended and see it as a disgrace.
