Vandalism reported during ‘Abolish the Police’ rally in Frederick

A man was detained and vandalism was reported during an “Abolish the Police” rally in Frederick Friday night, reported Frederick Police Department.

About 30 people marched among cars, blocking traffic, during a rally in downtown Frederick held by the Frederick Socialists at about 6:30 p.m., according to a press release.

Police said flags were set on fire, a street was spray-painted, a vehicle was vandalized, and a house was spray-painted.

The protest lasted about two hours, and one man was detained after it ended.

  1. Well when they abolish the police. ABOLISH ALL SECURITY THAT SURROUNDS OUR GOVERNMENT EVERYWHERE. Let those arsh-holes fend for themselves also like we will have to do with NO PROTECTION.
