The amusement park on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, Funland, will open on May 8. Funland officials made the announcement on Monday, saying this year’s opening marks a return to its traditional Mother’s Day weekend opening.
In the statement announcing the opening, the 2021 operations will include limiting the number of guests in the park at any one time through an online booking system, enhanced sanitation and cleaning, hand sanitizer stations at the entrance of each ride as well as throughout the park, and mandatory face coverings for guests ages 3 and older.
Reservations must be made in advance of visiting Funland through RIDEPASS at funlandrehoboth.com. Funland’s May dates will be released April 8, with additional booking options for the remainder of the summer opening shortly thereafter.
