City Council President Nick Mosby led his first city council meeting Monday since news broke that he and his wife are under federal criminal investigation.
He did not take time to address the investigation, instead it was business as usual.
Outside City Hall as the meeting began, several gathered in support of the city’s top couple, protesting in response to those calling for their resignation Friday.
“Under no circumstances do we support calling for the removal from office of duly elected officials. They are elected. The people will decide or the justice system will decide,” a Mosby supporter said.
Meanwhile back at the more than hour long meeting, council members discussed bills regarding burglar alarm registration and rezoning several blocks of city property.
Retired ethics professor Fred Guy says addressing the elephant in the room would have shown integrity.
“It seems to me that Nick Mosby needs to step up and say exactly what has happened,” he said.
Guy says the city council president needs to be forthcoming with his colleagues.
There’s just too much corruption in
Baltimore politics and among their
leadership, starting with mayors,
who can’t keep their fingers out of
the cookie jar and lie about it when
caught.
NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO THEM, THEY ARE JUST MORE CRIMINAL CORRUPT DEMOCRATS!!!!
