Members of Virginia’s House of Delegates have collectively racked up more than $800,000 in per diem stipends that cover expenses that include travel and food.
The Virginian-Pilot reported Tuesday that the payments have been a frequent source of partisan debate because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Some House Republicans have said it’s wrong to accept stipends for expenses while working virtually. But some Democrats have pointed out that the money is subject to income taxes this year. House delegates get expenses of $211 a day during the legislative session.
The money is intended to cover lodging, meals and incidentals. Delegates also get $1,250 per month year round for office expenses.
It’s only the peasant’s money that we force them to give us …. tisk tisk

What the chit. I knew it was bad, no wonder you can’t run one out of office with a big stick. These turds are paid by tax payers and they have more walking around money, than the tax payer takes home to feed the family because of taxes taken for your good hard work. That’s not even considering their pay off ( what they steal ) . No wonder they sit in a chair falling asleep during session. Some need a nap during the day, check out the blue hairs. Man

Many people in this country have no idea where your tax dollars are going. YOU ARE MAKING THEM RICH while you do without. Now they want it all and that is why they are up in Washington trying to change all the laws. That my fellow Americans means you lose everything you own.
