It’s game time for some athletic groups after some restrictions were rolled back in Howard County.
A return to the field is now in the works for the Ellicott City Soccer Club as Howard County moves forward with an updated policy on sporting events.
“I’ve already been working on schedules for next week, getting more teams on to the field. Practically, that is what it allows us to do during the week when we’re training,” said Carmen Juliano, of the Ellicott City Soccer Club.
Beginning Friday night, given declining coronavirus numbers, Howard County lifted some restrictions on recreational sports and programs.
The new executive order allows for indoor sporting events and programs to host 50% capacity or 100 people, whichever is less. It also allows for the same thing outdoors at 50% capacity, but caps at 250 people.
