It’s pretty hard to imagine, but in Texas, even down to San Antonio, it’s snowbound and bitter cold in an area known for warmth. Parts of Texas allegedly drooped down to 0F (-18C) over the weekend, it’s still bad today and another arctic snowstorm is predicted to hit the area on Tuesday or Wednesday.
On top of that, there are rolling power outages that for some may mean their power isn’t back on until tomorrow because of the strain on the Texas power grid. The state is asking people to conserve electricity to relieve the demand and has declared a state of emergency. 2.5 million are without power.
And commercial and household solar panels are covered by snow and ice, rendering them useless.
The situation is grim, but its a short term challenge that will garner immediate discussion and future remedies.
Overall challenge will be $$$$$. When thats involved, leaders either find the $$$$ (which means something is cut) or the can is kicked further down the road.
Power outages in unique areas is nothing new, but its the cost to fix something thats never unique.
Their power infrastructure is controlled by private companies and has needed renovation for decades. Hello people this is what the future will be like if we don’t change our ways.
I’d also like to point out that Biden immediately granted a state of emergency to allow access to federal funds despite Texas voting for his opponent. Something we all know Trump wouldn’t do.
oh come on. Really?

Liar!
Ask Crisfield Maryland how well they like their wind turbines, other than looking ugly quite useless. Need to get back to fossil fuels and no surge on electric cars.
