Delaware Airport Has its 1st Commercial Flight Since 2015

Commercial flights have resumed at a Delaware airport for the first time in nearly six years.

New Castle Airport marked the milestone when a Frontier Airlines flight from Orlando, Florida, landed there on Thursday.

Delaware has been the only state without commercial airline service since Frontier left in June 2015.

Frontier had planned to return to Delaware in May 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed it several times.
