Texas teen tipped FBI off about dad’s involvement in Capitol riot

An 18-year-old Texas man tipped off the FBI about his father’s role in the US Capitol riot — and said he’d do it again.

Jackson Reffitt — whose dad, Guy Reffitt, was charged last week in the Jan. 6 siege — told local outlet Fox4 that he acted out of moral obligation.

“It was my moral compass … to do what I thought would protect not only my family, but my dad himself,” he said.

“I would do it again.”

The elder Reffitt, of Wylie, had allegedly threatened his son and daughter, saying, “If you turn me in, you’re a traitor and you know what happens to traitors … traitors get shot,” court papers state.

His son told the TV station, “I took that as a threat, but I never thought he would act upon it.”

Reffitt said his dad is part of a far-right militia group and that he has embraced increasingly radicalized views over the years.

  1. Under Mao, Chinese kids thought (and were programmed to do it in their school system) that turning their parents in to the police for “wrong thoughts” was the right and proper thing to do.
Their parents were killed or imprisoned.

Now, we have that same thing going on here.

    No one says a word.

And, they just go insane with approval when “re-education” camps are talked about for Trump supporters.

    George Orwell was a prophet.

    Keep cheering.

  2. The son did what he thought was right going to the law, but was wrong going to the press. They won’t tell it correct without adding their spin and opinion to it. I say this not because our best president Donald J. Trump exposed them. The media has been like that long before Trump. I experienced this many years ago locally.
