Mike Pence allegedly enraged at President Trump: GOP senator says he’s never seen the VP as ‘angry as he was today’

Vice President Mike Pence is reportedly enraged at President Donald Trump over the way he has acted this week in response to the 2020 election results, a Republican senator said.

Oklahoma GOP Sen. Jim Inhofe reportedly had a “long conversation” with Pence Tuesday night, during which the normally cool-headed vice president conveyed acute frustration to him.

“I’ve known Mike Pence forever,” Inhofe told local news outlet Tulsa World Tuesday. “I’ve never seen Pence as angry as he was today.

“I had a long conversation with him,” Inhofe added. “He said, ‘After all the things I’ve done for [Trump].'”

Over the last week, Trump pressured Pence to use his vice presidential power while presiding over a joint session of Congress Wednesday to block congressional certification of election results in battleground states. The president then publicly attacked Pence for not carrying out the action Wednesday.

Pence issued a statement to Congress on Wednesday before gaveling in the joint session, in which he concluded that he could not constitutionally claim “unilateral authority” to reject states’ electoral votes.

  1. Why because trump will not bow down to the elites. This man calls himself such a devote Christian. Maybe he should step back and look at what he is supporting

  2. Pence is a weak sister and needs to remember who made him vice president. He abandoned President Trump when he needed him most and there are 75 million people who won’t forget!

  3. Pence was in charge of locking down our country and forcing us to wear mask. Thanks buddy enjoy your book tour while we get furloughed when economy tanks.

  4. Nobody asked Pence to reject electoral votes. He was Constitutionally empowered to returned disputed results to the states that generated them for the states in question to review, ratify or reject before returning their choice for him to open and have counted. Precedent back to 1802 gives the VP a guiding role rather than merely ceremonial.

The US Constitution empowers state legislatures to chose the electors for their states; the states have adopted a variety of ways to get choices in front of their legislatures. PA and WI legislatures were not afforded this right this year by other officials in their states, and had written Pence asking for their elector votes back in order to review, change or accept before actually sending a legislature’s choice to the VP. Delay would have been minimal.

There was a very good chance the legislatures would have sent back differing electors. PA had 20 votes and WI had 10. 270 votes were needed to win and Biden had been erroneously/falsely credited with 306. Legislatures in Michigan, Georgia and Arizona also could have altered the tally.

That is why Pence’s decision was so wrong. He didn’t need to approve or toss any vote; he just needed to permit the state legislatures to make the choices the Constitution gave solely to them. He needn’t worry that anyone will ever tear down a statue erected in his honor. There will be none!

    1. I really appreciate you explaining this. I really had no idea what Pence’s role was in the process. Or what January 6 was all about. Now that I understand it, I’m even more angry about what our VP did.

  5. Who the Hell does he think he is to be mad !!!! He can Rot in Hell , there is a Place there for Traitors like him !!!!!

  6. Who Cares > Pence can go to Hell with his new friends (Democrats ) !!!!

Americans OWN & RUN this damn country , Not these SWAMP Monsters in DC !!!!

  7. Man, talk about who you can or can’t trust. I had heard that Pence would be tougher than Trump if in the Oval Office. Sure didn’t expect him to chit up. He will never make the Oval now, maybe a gravy job for ole joe.
