A Viewer Writes: January 6th After Action Report of Trump Rally

Good Morning Andy,

I hope this email finds you well.  Sleep did not easy for me last night and I felt it necessary to provide you at least one perspective on the subject matter, for two reasons.  One, you are my Representative and two, I consider you a Patriot and a friend. 

Let me begin by saying as having served twenty years in the U. S. Marine Corps, including duty in Vietnam and going on 78 years old, the events I witnessed yesterday were very disturbing to me, to say the least.  I have begun this report at 0630, but I know it will take some time to get it completed as I try to gather my thoughts; for in addition I have some significant family issues requiring attention.

I will try to share my perception and observation as objectively and accurately as possible. Therefore let me begin with the following:

Our trip began upon loading on a bus at the Park-N-Ride in West OC.  We stopped in Salisbury, Cambridge and Easton to pick up passengers. The bus was filled with Patriots from all backgrounds and ages with me being in the more senior group.  Expressions of optimism, anger and outright concern seem to dominate conversation.  However, hope seemed to permeate the entire group, that our Representatives and our Government would take seriously the allegations of voting irregularities and fraud. At the very minimum hoping an action plan to review and evaluate same would be established.

Upon arriving in DC, I witnessed a whole different tone and atmosphere compared to what I witnessed and experienced in the many Tea Party Rally’s that I had attended in previous years.  For example, barriers seemed to be everywhere.  Businesses closed and no facilities available. Our Representatives seemed to be taking every measure and action to avoid contact with us.  Nothing like the Tea Party Rally’s when Mike Pence, Marsha Blackburn, Jack Kingston, Joe Wilson and many others too numerous to mention, greeted us, walked amongst us and thanked us for coming. And all the “peoples’” offices, Capitol and White House were open to us.  And there were hundreds of thousands of us.

Normally, an after action report such as this can take a couple of days, however Andy, I am going to greatly limit its content at this time for a couple of reasons.  First, there are many other personally pressing items, and secondly I just wanted to give you an idea of what I encountered as quickly as possible, with the idea that if you have any questions or want any additional information from me; or a more detailed report, I stand ready to respond.

We obeyed and respected the police and remained behind the many disappointing barriers.  We as best as we could tried to keep people from over running the barriers, from getting on top of vehicles and damaging property.  However, we quickly realized that we (True Patriots and Trump supporters) had been infiltrated by tremendous numbers of Antifa and BLM. We tried calling them out, asking them to remove their gas masks, hoods and leave the area without much, if any success.

The results of the most devastating actions yesterday, in my opinion, were caused by the failure of the Police to deal quickly and concisely at the barrier area with elements of the aforementioned groups that had and were successfully infiltrating our Rally. It seemed to me as though the police quickly acquiesced and allowed the storming of the Capitol.

In addition, unless being physically attacked or in complete fear of their lives, there is NO EXCUSE for killing an unarmed fourteen year veteran of our Country. I witnessed and personally observed many great things yesterday, and of course some not so great.
I met Patriots from California, Michigan, Wyoming, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Alabama and several other states.  They seemed to have the same concern for our Country and its Government.

Andy, let me conclude this brief report with saying the tone, atmosphere and response to us yesterday, in many instances was borderline hostile when compared to the Tea Party Rally’s.  Failure to recognize BLM’s and Antifa’s infiltration within the Rally by proper authorities is a disappointment.  My heart is saddened by what I witnessed yesterday, from every element of involvement.  I am of the opinion our “leaders” appeared to be cowards and randomly jumped to false and misdirected conclusions and accusations.  

Andy, hopefully this will provide you with one man’s perspective that will assist in your evaluation of a small portion of yesterday’s events.  I will definitely provide you with more details if you think they may be of use to you for any reason.  In addition, I hope that you do not mind my sharing this report with other Patriots, friends and family.

Don – thank you for letting me know this as soon as you did. This is exactly the conclusion many of us have come to – that Antifa and BLM are really domestic terrorists who infiltrated the event yesterday specifically to wreak havoc – which they seemed to have accomplished. I certainly hope investigations of this are conducted – I certainly will be pushing for that. Rest up today. Thanks for your service. Andy
