Because, unlike so many other crapholes in the world, the American government exists as a result of the consent of the governed.
The 2nd Amendment makes this clear, not as a threat or a statement of foolish bravado…but as an affirmation of man’s natural right to think, act, and decide for himself how best to pursue the highest good.
