Biden will head to Georgia to campaign for Democrats in Senate runoff

Joe Biden is heading to Georgia, his campaign said Thursday. The Democrat will travel to the state next week to campaign for the two Democrats competing in Senate runoff elections.

On Tuesday, Biden will stop in Atlanta on behalf of candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. Biden has barely left Delaware – except for a trip to Philadelphia – since the Nov. 3 election.

Ossoff is running against incumbent GOP Sen. David Perdue. Warnock is competing against appointed GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler. Neither candidate in either race secured a majority of the vote in the November election, resulting in the runoff.

The battle in Georgia has gained national attention because it will determine control of the Senate for at least the next two years. Should Ossoff and Warnock defeat the Republicans, Senate Democrats would control 50 seats, with Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris, if she becomes vice president, acting as a tie-breaking vote.

  1. 100k mail in ballots requested in Georgia. Why would the democrats not cheat again? What is stopping them? Nada. Its over, Harris will be President with both houses. 80 million people chose her right? Looks that way
