Dr. David Marcozzi, Maryland’s COVID-19 Commander and UMMS Sr. Medical Advisor to Gov. Larry Hogan, said during a press conference Tuesday that wearing a mask to help limit the spread of the coronavirus is “a sign of respect.”
“It is simple, wearing a mask is a sign of respect,” Marcozzi said. “Let’s make it our normal.”
“This simple thing that we wear over our nose and mouth limits the spread of our common, silent enemy,” he added. “It helps protect each other to get through this. It will require courage. Courage to work together to keep going.”
Marcozzi said that Marylanders need to double their efforts to get through the pandemic healthy.
“If we do that, we will not only maintain our health but also maintain our economy,” he said.
Noted medical experts Drs. Scott Atlas and Stella Immanuel disagree and urge all Trump supporters not to wear masks and not to social distance. Go for the herd immunity!
Yes yes! And remember not to wear your seatbelts too because that’s another government mandated restraint for your own safety!
Why do so many more people have it considering just about everyone is wearing a mask and has been. Not including Hollywood, twitter owner, politicians. Everyone else is wearing a mask to buy food It’s ridiculous.
Because people are wearing buffs and thin, cheap “masks” that don’t filter anything at all except big chunks of spittle. If you can spray water from a squirt bottle through it, it’s not effective. People also wear them under their noses and of course you have the darwin certified anti mask people…
“Thin cheap masks”. You’re a special kind of stupid aren’t you? ALL masks say right on the box that it will not stop the covid 19 virus or any other kind of virus. “Darwin certified anti maskers”… And I’m sure you are 1 of the brain dead people wearing your mask alone in the car or riding your bike alone with a mask on. If the CDC told you to jump off a fn bridge you’d do it. No questions asked. Why? Cause you people can’t think for yourselves
Signed
An anti-masker with more common sense in my pinky than you’ve got in your brain🙄
REALLY!!!??? Tyranny comes in small doses does it not? If anyone thinks the wearing of a “mask” prevents the spread of the virus, then I have a bridge to sell you. Obviously if that were the case, the virus would pretty well be gone by now. Right?
But, if you “feel” better, by all means wear one, even in your home and car.LOL
Intuitively, even the pro-mask brigade knows that 99% of people are in no danger of dying or even becoming seriously ill from COVID. That is why you keep catching mask proponents with their pants, er masks, down at parties, beauty shops, etc.- wherever they think they are out of public view. If this was the plague we would not be having such a tug of war in the national discourse- everyone would be locked up in their home without the government telling them they had to because the survival instinct is a wonderful thing. This is about control, pure and simple, for whatever else is coming down the pike. I have no theory on to what end all of this is unfolding, but I feel it in my bones. Government, whether it be national, state or local does not have the means to enforce anything without the complicity of the people. Therefore, it is NECESSARY that they engage the public in helping enforce masks via social disapproval and even shaming. Even better, these Judases, can pat themselves on the backs and kid themselves they are doing something for the greater good. Mark my words, you will rue the day you betrayed your fellow men; you are no better than the Germans who did not oppose the Nazis. I am deeply ashamed that we have had instances of this tattletaling even in tiny towns here on the Shore; I thought we were better than that, but I was wrong. In Snow Hill several people targeted an employee at a local business via Facebook because when they walked in to the establishment, the employee was alone and had their mask down, but immediately pulled it up when the customers entered. If they had to stand on their feet 8-10 hours a day trying to breath through a mask with no break, maybe they would have a little compassion. For shame, we are eating our own.
