Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich says that the coronavirus pandemic has been an excuse for leaders on the political left to reveal their true colors.
The former top House Republican said that “if you’re a left-wing governor or a left-wing mayor like [New York City Mayor] deBlasio, COVID became the excuse to be who you really are. And it’s like the mask was dropped,” he remarked during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast.
Gingrich mentioned Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and described them as “bad people” who “enjoy power,” “lie routinely” and “like coercion.”
“They like the sense that I’m the boss and you’re not,” he said.
Gingrich said there has been a shift from the law serving as a protection for Americans into a situation in which “the law is hunting you and the law wants to destroy you.”
If you think being asked to wear a mask in public and not congregate in large groups is oppression it shows how much privilege you have. Anti maskers who are mingling with their families have proved just how selfish they are. Not willing to take such small steps for the greater health of their fellow Americans. Patriotism is reserved only for song and the national anthem at the beginning of a football game for them. Just like the Bible whose teachings they pick and choose to follow based on convenience.
nobody has the constitutional right to not get sick, but we all have the constitutional right to freedom of assembly,so if my right to freely assembly and associate with other people interferes with your non existent right to not get sick then you need to start taking personal responsibility for your health and stay the F*** at home.
