Do Maryland Gov. Hogan’s latest moves foreshadow a 2024 campaign for president?

Sitting in front of a digital backdrop of the Maryland State House, Gov. Larry Hogan looked into the camera and began talking about what he calls “broken politics in America.”

For months, the Republican governor has been honing his talking points about dysfunction in Washington and the need for political leaders to set aside partisanship to work for the greater good. He’s made his pitch in national TV interviews and, more recently, on the campaign trail for GOP candidates in other states — as he did last week when he appeared live from Annapolis at an event for the governor of Vermont.

Add his targeted criticisms of President Donald Trump, a refusal to support U.S. Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, the publishing of a political memoir, and his write-in vote for Ronald Reagan for president, and some say Hogan looks like a man with an eye on the White House.

“It’s pretty clear to me that these are the moves somebody makes when they are considering a presidential run,” said Mileah Kromer, a pollster and political science professor at Goucher College who tracks Maryland politics closely.

  1. Boy they really fool the citizens. I voted for this damorat posing as a republican. The same with that Mitt punk. What a pair of losers.

    1. I doubt he even voted for President Ronald Reagan. Reagan was a republican, something this loser doesn’t support. I bet he wrote in his own name, for a feel good moment or rush.

  2. Voted for him twice; less pleased second time. His continued dissing of the President is not helpful for Marylanders, and puts him squarely in the McCain-Romney-Murkowski-RINO wing. At one point I would have entertained him as a Senatorial candidate; no more!

Lumpy Larry can go play tambourine with OweMalley as he busks in Annapolis at the dock.

  3. Bob Aswell ... Realist

Extra, extra, Loser runs to win!!! Hoggan is the personification of a horses ass. Punish the people of Md. and then ask them for their vote. He’s just as dumb as Pelosi and Bidumb if he thinks these folks are going to go en-mass to vote for him, and it’s evidence the brain tumor was NOT totally remedied when he was in the hospital.
If I were to consider voting for a damn fool like him, I’d go to the sawbones and see if I had one. Sure, some dumb belles (Corozza) will vote for him, because they’re just as much a shut-in as he is. Including the do NOTHING Eastern Shore Delegation, I can’t believe anyone in their right mind would commit political suicide by being on the stump for a dolt like him. That would prove beyond any doubt that a decision like that campaign, should be answered with a crew and a net.
We’ve been hoodwinked once by a concealed mole of a Dumbocrat …. Lets NOT prove the Einstein theory to be right a second time.

  4. Worst Governor Maryland has ever had, I voted for him but will never make that mistake again, he has done nothing for Maryland and is just like our local Mayor Jake a total failure both should never pass any more elections not even for dog catcher I like the dogs too much. Both need to be impeached and fast bye bye.
