You are correct! The county executive has no authority to fire any of the council members, the council administrator, the council attorney nor can she fire the county auditor. The county council has another employee of theirs that they have not hired yet and that it the assistant county council administrator. I don’t care if they do fill that position, but I prefer a full-time elected county council President and county council Vice President. The county will never be fully balanced with a full-time county executive and NO full-time council reps. The legislative breakfast proved that with a full front row table with no council representatives sitting at that table. In years past the table was a square with council reps at the table but Queen Julie changed that to show her dominance and authority. This is why a full-time elected council president and Vice President is needed. The County Executive’s Office went 2 years without filling the the Administrator and the Deputy Administrator positions. Julie filled it with two inexperience lap dogs that are overpaid proving she is NOT the “Conservative” executive that everyone thinks she is. She has two office secretaries sitting in the front office skimming the blogs and social media pages to see who is talking about Julie. Fire them both! |
