Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf did not write a speech this time. He posted the email.
Last week the sheriff said a whistleblower inside Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s office had shown him how non-citizens, including illegal aliens, get swept onto the voter file when they change an address. Skeptics wanted paper.
On August 26 he put a redacted message from a Michigan Department of State employee on X and let the words do the work. The Gateway Pundit published the screenshot.
I honestly think it is a CARS programming error that anytime anyone that changes their address, that document prints off and if/when it hits the county clerks office, nothing happens. As in she is not actually going to be registered to vote because they will see she is not a citizen. If that makes sense to you.
It does not make sense. That is the point.
The same employee then described the new default. Register everyone. Mail a paper. Hope the ineligible person bothers to send it back and say no.
With the new way of registering EVERYONE and requiring them to send back a paper to NOT be registered we are going to have so many people on the voter file who shouldn’t be. I am not a fan of this new way – as you can probably see. It just creates errors that can be possibly not caught.
An insider in Benson’s own department is telling a sheriff the machine is built to load the file first and sort citizenship later. Later never comes.
