Devin Rice was arrested on criminal homicide charges after Fredrick Lytton died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center
A Nashville U-Haul employee allegedly gunned down his 56-year-old co-worker during a shift, as police say he fired several shots after the two men were arguing over a drink.
Devin Rice, 23, was arrested on Aug. 5 after he allegedly shot and killed Fredrick Lytton at a U-Haul store in Nashville, Tennessee, according to police. Lytton died after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said Rice admitted to arguing with Lytton over a drink and then shooting him.
Police accused Rice of pulling out a pistol and shooting Lytton several times.
Officials said Rice fled the area after allegedly shooting Lytton, but was later arrested. Rice was arrested on charges of criminal homicide.
Joshua Houghtaylen, who lives in the area of the shooting, told WSMV that crime is getting worse and putting the onus on the city’s police to act.
