Salisbury, MD – Wicomico County is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, July 20, the box office at the Wicomico Civic Center will relocate to its permanent location at the front entrance of the venue, marking another significant milestone in the facility’s ongoing renovation project.
Visitors are encouraged to continue using caution and following all posted wayfinding signage as the final phases of construction are completed. While work is still underway, this transition represents another exciting step toward the completion of the Civic Center’s transformation.
“The relocation of the box office is another visible sign that we are getting closer to unveiling a fully renovated facility that our community can be proud of,” said Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano. “This project is about far more than updating a building. We are investing in a premier destination that will serve our residents for generations, attract new visitors to our county, and continue to strengthen our local economy.”
The renovation of the Wicomico Civic Center is designed to enhance the experience for everyone who visits the venue, with improved accessibility, upgraded amenities, and modernized spaces that better accommodate concerts, sporting events, trade shows, community gatherings, and family entertainment.
As one of the region’s premier event venues, the Civic Center plays a vital role in bringing people together while supporting local businesses through tourism and economic activity. The improvements will ensure the facility continues to serve as a centerpiece for entertainment, recreation, and community events throughout the Lower Eastern Shore.
Wicomico County appreciates the public’s patience throughout the construction process and looks forward to welcoming residents and visitors to enjoy the enhanced facility as the renovation project reaches completion.
