NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council of Wicomico County, Maryland,
will hold a special Legislative Session on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Government Office Building, 125 N. Division Street, Room 301, Salisbury, Maryland 21801.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider Resolution No. 82-2026 extending the date for the
adoption of the annual budget and appropriation bill from June 1 to June 15, 2026.
The public is invited to attend and observe the meeting.
Who needs the extra time?
The executive branch already carves out stuff for time to develop the budget.
The council merely reviews and approves/disapproves – I don’t think council can change anything. Granted, if council disapproves – the process needs to start over…. Maybe that is the issue…
