Things are really popping off in the Commonwealth of Virginia on this Wednesday, with one prominent Democrat state senator being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and one county’s George Soros-funded prosecutor finding himself the subject of a probe by the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
As RedState reported earlier Wednesday, the Portsmouth offices of Senator Louise Lucas – the Democrat pro tempore of the state Senate and architect of the gerrymandered congressional map now under the scrutiny of the Virginia Supreme Court – were raided by the FBI “in connection to a major corruption probe.” The raid included several cannabis dispensaries in the area; Lucas, when she’s not gerrymandering maps, owns a weed shop of her own.
Following the news of the FBI raid, the DOJ said “hold my beer” and announced they were launching an investigation into the sentencing practices of Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano, who seems to have developed a pattern of going light on illegal aliens who run afoul of the law. Worryingly for residents, some of the worst criminals seemed to have gotten the lightest sentences.
