I am witnessing a destruction of open lands, farms, and woods by SVN builders, and others.
Additionally, after they tear down all these areas, often SVN builders later put the area up for sale; displacing much wildlife.
I’ve started to notice other builders performing the same destruction.
Recent developments on Snow Hill Road, and now the Historical Malone Farm (125 acres ) on Snow Hill Road, to be torn down, support my concerns.
Unbeknownst to many people, Jake Day ( when mayor ) had most of Snow Hill Road re-zoned to commercial; a majority of current homes, and property to be destroyed.
As they did in Howard County
( when builders began raping the farms and woods), the voters had a Moratorium scheduled at voting time to stop any more building.
This Moratorium was to prevent more destruction of Howard County property with construction destruction.
We the residents of the Eastern Shore, and specifically Wicomico County, need a Moratorium to vote on in next election.
This would prevent more raping of our Agricultural Heritage when voted, and supported by residents who vote.
In speaking to some builders, they mentioned they intend to make the Eastern Shore look and run like suburban New Jersey.

Not on this subject but the county executive, Bunky and Jeff Lakin are all flying to Las Vegas for a Shopping Center Conference. She sent out a press release but didn’t mention Las Vegas. This trip will cost the taxpayers appox 8 thousand dollars with airfare, rooms etc all in the name of economic development.
STFU you keep letting them do it, so why do you think you have right to complain? Do something about it, or try, if not just shut the hell up. No one really cares can’t you see? That is why nothing changes. You morons keep thinking you will never be affected by anything.
It’s a tax paying excursion for a holiday of shopping and good times.
