One person has been killed and another two injured in a suspected terror-related shooting at Old Dominion University in Virginia.
The chaos unfolded at the Norfolk campus shortly before 11am on Thursday.
The shooter was killed after ‘a group of brave students’ stepped in to subdue him, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.
The gunman was killed and two victims were injured in the attack. They were taken to the hospital and are in a critical condition.
Patel confirmed the incident is being investigated by the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
The campus was placed under lockdown and university operations are suspended for the rest of the day.
A sophomore at the university, Logan Hayes, told WAVY that students were in a campus building taking a test when chaos erupted.
‘I heard about a multitude of gunshots go off and people just screaming,’ he said.
