As of March 5, 2026, the Wicomico County Department of Public Works (WC-DPW) will be closing the bridge crossing over Horsebridge and Nassawango Creek, located on the dirt portion of Twilley Bridge Road, to vehicular and foot traffic.
The WC-DPW Roads Division is currently placing signage and physical blockade at the bridge approaches on both the east and west sides of the crossing. Twilley Bridge Road will still be passable up to these features however, the public should be aware of limited space/shoulder which may prevent vehicles from being able to turn around.
This closure will not impact access to any residences on Twilley Bridge Road. This closure is being performed in an abundance of caution for public safety, and in consideration of ongoing infrastructure assessments.
