Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar has indicated that growing numbers of Democrats are ready to abolish the Department of Homeland Security if or when they return to power.
Speaking at a town hall meeting on Thursday, Omar said that while most Democrats were resistant to the idea when she arrived in Congress in 2019, the policies of the Trump administration are changing their minds.
“What I will say is that there is an easier conversation happening today than six, seven years ago when I got to Congress, about what we need to do with ICE, which is to abolish it,” Omar told her audience.
“There is a lot of conversation about what the dismantlement of the Department of Homeland Security should look like.”
Support among Democrats is also rising to ditch Omar, Walz and the rest of the thieving lot in Minnesota.
This is the only thing I agree with that illegal alien on. The Homeland Security Agency was dreamed up by the Bush 41 / cheney regime shortly after 9-11, granting government permission to surveil and wire tap anyone they wanted anytime they wanted. The NSA and CIA are already monitoring other countries and rogue organizations that are possibly conspiring an attack, physical or biological, on our freedom and economy. I have never been a supporter of Homeland Security and believe it to be any over reach of our freedom. I’m sure President Trump can find a suitable and deserving position for Christy Noem and Tom Holman if their agency is dismantled.
