Maryland will launch a study to analyze the economic impacts of climate change to determine the costs associated with storm damage and health outcomes.
The move is part of the Moore-Miller administration’s strategic approach to investing in a clean energy economy and modernizing the state’s energy infrastructure.
“While the federal government has spent the past year rolling back climate protections and driving up energy costs, Maryland is taking a responsible step toward understanding the true price tag of climate change,” Gov. Wes Moore said in a statement. “This study will give us a clear, data-driven look at the real burden taxpayers are shouldering as climate change drives more extreme and costly weather events.”
Response:
Since January of 2023 Maryland has gone through drastic changes on energy generation.
The push for renewables Wind and Solar, while stepping on the throat of  “Traditional Energy Energy Providers” with heavy regulations. Has led to energy rates in the State up 1000 percent since January of 2023.
The response of Republican leaders like Senator Hershey, and the Maryland Freedom Caucus has been a responsible one. Rolling out a 4 point plan to reduce energy rates  for Marylands Businesses and Working Families, and forming a partnership in the region with neighboring States to form a “Comprehensive Plan” to address this crisis.
In addition Calvert Clifffs has announced it’s plan to expand its “Nuclear Capabilities”.
Meanwhile Governor Moore and his Administration’s response has been to double down on green energy investments, and launch a “Study” on Climate Change.
Maryland has AI and Data Centers on the horizon, and if the States energy problems aren’t addressed “Rolling Blackouts” could become a real possibility.
Energy experts at the highest levels are saying nuclear power is what’s needed to address these coming needs. Renewables like wind and solar can be “Supportive” to traditional energy however should not be replacing it….

    1. Please someone stop these idiots! they spend money like it has no limit. Green energy is nothing but a scam. I would love to move; but where? What is the most republican, conservative county in America?
