Missouri Veteran Dies Trying To Intervene In Domestic Assault

A Missouri Army veteran was shot and killed Wednesday after stepping in to stop a domestic assault in Warrensburg, police said.

Warrensburg police identified the victim as Tony Barron and the suspected gunman as Senior Airman Glyzua Ingram, an off-duty airman assigned to Whiteman Air Force Base who was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Warrensburg police and a Whiteman Air Force Base press release.

“Tony Barron, an unrelated and unarmed neighbor in the area, heroically intervened and was murdered by the suspect,” Warrensburg police said in a statement.
