A 22-year-old man is facing numerous felony charges for the death of four people after he allegedly crashed his car in front of a business.
The driver, Silas Sampson, was arrested at the scene and is facing numerous charges of vehicular homicide after four people were killed.
He is also facing more felony charges for aggravated fleeing with great bodily injury. There were also multiple injuries at the site, and numerous victims were taken to the hospital.
There was a total of 17 victims, including the four deceased. Three of the victims died on scene, while one died at the hospital.
Sampson was racing another vehicle as it headed toward the highway. After separating, he took his vehicle on the highway.
After exiting, the Florida Highway Patrol tried to stop the vehicle. After the suspect kept going, a PIT maneuver was attempted, but the vehicle was moving too fast.
