EV Market Takes Another Huge Hit as 2024 Electric Hummers Receive Whopping $40,000 Discount

American car buyers have long cherished vehicles that deliver power, reliability, and value without unnecessary frills or government-mandated experiments. Yet the electric vehicle sector keeps stumbling, and the latest blow comes from GMC’s desperate moves to unload its 2024 Hummer EVs. Dealers across the country are slashing prices by tens of thousands of dollars on these massive electric trucks, signaling deeper troubles in the EV push that could ripple through U.S. manufacturing jobs and supply chains.

Take the 2024 Hummer EV SUV 3X Omega Limited Edition as a prime example. At Expressway GMC in Mount Vernon, Indiana, one unit with just 178 miles on the odometer lists for $99,780—down from an original sticker of $142,330. That’s a straight $42,550 cut. Over in Texas, Jerry’s Buick GMC in Weatherford drops a similar model from $140,295 to $99,647, shaving off $40,648. These aren’t minor rebates; they’re fire-sale tactics to clear lots bloated with unsold inventory.
