Annapolis, MD – House Republicans today released the following statement regarding the Board of Revenue Estimates Report:
“Given that Governor Moore and the Democratic Leadership in the General Assembly just ushered in the largest tax increase in Maryland’s history, it should come as no surprise that – for now at least – we are not seeing a revenue write-down,” said House Minority Leader Jason Buckel. “While they will not have to raise state taxes in the upcoming session, they may choose to permanently decouple Maryland from many of the tax benefits in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. As many Maryland taxpayers can certainly attest, what is good for state coffers is not always good for their wallets.”
