I must admit I find the Kamala Harris book tour amusing.
The Democrats are clueless about how lost they are and how to get the American people back. And she’s sort of the poster child for how in the woods they are. Her coping with losing is a little bit like Hillary Clinton — it’s everybody else’s fault for not being sufficiently supportive of her. It’s not because she was a lousy candidate.
One of the things that truly did her in during her campaign was the horrible answer she gave on “The View” to a question from Sunny Hostin: What would she do differently than Joe Biden? She couldn’t answer it.
On Tuesday, she returned to “The View” and addressed that answer. Notice they appear to have a QR code, so they’re helping to sell her book. But the media doesn’t “pick a side.” This was a truly ridiculous answer.
I didn’t fully appreciate how much people wanted to know there was a difference between me and President Biden. I thought it was obvious, and I didn’t want to offer a difference in a way that would be received or suggested to be a criticism, and in the campaign full-time, I was pointing out the differences. My theory of the case was, “We need to bring costs down. We’re going to extend the Child Tax Credit.”
She thought the differences were obvious? So obvious she couldn’t enunciate them.
She says she was pointing out the differences on the campaign trail. Um, that show was when she was on the campaign trail. If she had been outlining the differences, she would have said what they were, which she didn’t.
But it’s funny even now, she can’t do it well. “We need to bring the costs down,” she says. Yes, we know. Under you and Joe Biden, prices were high. The problem was you couldn’t say how you would bring prices down — or offer solutions for anything else.
