Ask Jim Ireton The Liar, Can You Swim In The River Yet, Decades later…

This guy is picking up trash on the waterfront across from the Market Street Inn. That was 10 bags of trash from Jake Day’s Poo River and he wasn’t done yet. He ultimately had 11 bags before he gave up. If you’ll recall, Ireton stated when he was first elected Mayor that you’d be able to swim in the river within 10 years. More liberal BS.

  1. That is disgusting, Jake Day! WTH are you doing about cleaning up that river. Let’s see you and Jim Liarton take a drink of that.

  2. Ireton was still ten times the mayor Fake Jake has been. Ireton did attend Crime Watch meetings with neighborhoods in the city, did do city walks all in areas Jake would never set foot in and I mean before the Pandemic. He also had the Neighborhood meetings at the city office where neighborhoods, sheriff and the SPD attended. He cared about more than festivals of drinking that were big failures, he never attempted anything with any city clean up instead he spent all his time at the Brick Room hanging out with girlfriends while married and all his “buddies”. He did drive throughs for Thanksgiving with his lap dogs who followed him. He never did any walk throughs in neighborhoods but his own and the Camden Area. When you tried to speak to him at council meetings he would brush you off unless you were one of his adoring lab dogs. And most important crime was way down when Ireton was Mayor not so with Fake Jake, the police were a bigger prescence and Coding and Compliance actually cleaned up slum lord neighborhoods. Wish Ireton was back or we had Wayne King who would have done soooo much more than Jake.

      1. Sorry I will have to disagree with you on that. Ruark was a good Mayor but the LAST good Mayor was Paul Martin. He cared about the city and took care of it. From then on it has gone to pot.

        1. Sorry, you have your opinion and I have mine. I’ll stick with the good man Ruark. I have several personal reasons to come to my reasoning. I dealt with Mayor Martin and wasnt impressed.

  3. I certainly wouldn’t want to, and the Pocomoke is no better after an overflow at the Snow Hill treatment plant. Just gross.

  4. I wondered what that fellow was doing. I saw him sitting near all of those bags and thought he was selling something. I’m glad that what he was selling was an idea. Bless him.

  5. This river will never be good for swimming. It never was, by today’s standards, even though the “I remember when” people have fond memories. The area had sewage directly to the river before the treatment plant was built (and for decades after), the street grates were dumping sites for every imaginable liquid waste including chemical and biological, and businesses along the river dumped chemicals and production waste on a daily basis. Kids swam in it, just like kids did in the East River, the Ganges, and every other polluted urban and rural waterway around the world.

  6. Jake is off in Africa somewhere and the rainbow queen is currently running things. What a damn joke Salisbury city government is.

  7. Fishing in the Wicomico Park River

I was a fishin in that big river, and my fishin line was a pulling hard

after an hour of struggling with that critter
    I got it in

I was shocked to see it was a roll of toilet paper with skid marks on it
