In 2023 The Executive reportedly had a meeting in Annapolis with longtime political consultant Chevy Fleischman Weiss, and was reportedly very impressed. Weiss, who resides in Baltimore County, also spends a large chunk of the year in Israel.
It was reported in 2023 Weiss was working now with another political consultant Jim Burton, who has Maryland ties but left Maryland several years ago for North Carolina, Burton Research and Strategies. Later in 2023 early 2024 The Executive decided to start using the political services of Burton, Weiss has a long-alleged history of dirty campaign tactics even going as far as helping Democrats while she “claims” to be Republican. Let’s look at Weiss’s greatest hits:
2016:
During the 2016 Maryland Presidential Primary, Weiss had a meeting with the Kasich for President team in Rockville, in this meeting Weiss bragged about she was behind convincing Potomac Businessman and Multi-Millionaire John Delaney to run as a Democrat instead of a Republican to get elected to congress. She also at the time said the Kasich team should meet with then Maryland Delegate Herb McMillian out of Anne Arundel County, the “smartest” elected official in Annapolis. Weiss emphasized that in the meeting.
2018:
In early 2018 going into the Maryland midterm election, due to Governor Hogan’s high poll numbers the Maryland GOP identified 5 areas around the State where Governor Hogan won in 2014 despite the area having a Democrat State Senator, the plan was coined the “Drive for 5”. One of those areas was in Anne Arundel, where Delegate McMillan was, however the Republican power Structure in Anne Arundel and at the State level felt former Delegate, Business Owner, & 2014 Maryland Governor candidate Ron George was a better bet on winning this seat, than McMillan. So, McMillian wrote a scathing piece in the Capital Gazette taking shots at the GOP State and Anne Arundel Leadership, essentially a scorched earth style on his way out of Annapolis. We will get back to McMillian later in 2018.
While that was happening with McMillian, Weiss a in early 2018 was working on a fundraising deal with the MDGOP at the time for the Drive for 5, then MDGOP Executive Director Patrick O’Keefe had a meeting with Weiss, where apparently the deal they were working on went south, and Weiss was less than kind to Mr. O’Keefe in a very tense meeting after finding this out, & the MDGOP leadership.
O’Keefe had previously worked for Delegate Christian Miele, who was in another identified area for the drive for 5 in Baltimore County, and decided to challenge Democrat State Senator Kathy Klausmeier, this State Senate race was considered by many to be the most impactful race in the State at the time due to Baltimore County being the “Battleground” County” in Maryland. Well due to this now feud Weiss had with O’Keefe and the MDGOP, Weiss reportedly went to Senator Klausmeier and they allegedly conspired a deceptive mail piece together, that Governor Hogan supported the Senator even though the Governor had endorsed Delegate Miele, this mailer drew heavy criticism, and many people in the MDGOP circles all pretty strongly believed and still do today believe Weiss was behind this mailer, probably the most outrageous stunt Weiss has allegedly pulled in recent MDGOP history, sadly it worked and the Senator won in a squeaker against Delegate Miele.
In addition to that in 2018, it was strongly believed that in Anne Arundel County that Weiss & McMillian out of anger at Republican leadership in the 2018 General Election allegedly worked to support then Democrat candidate for County Executive Stuart Pittman, over the incumbent Republican County Executive Steve Schu who on election night in November of 2018, stunningly was defeated, wait till we get to 2022 what Weiss & Mcmillan then did.. It is a doozy folks.
2022:
So, after the celebration in 2018 of defeating the County Executive Schu, Weiss and McMillian decided, naturally of course, to run to defeat Pittman, who in 2018 many believe they supported.
McMillan apparently now was as a “hard right” populus Trump style candidate in the Republican primary for County Executive while accusing his opponent then Anne Arundel County Councilwoman Jessica Haire of being a “RINO” this effort by Weiss and McMillan failed, Mcmillian appeared to ruined his credibility in 2018 by allegedly supporting Pittman a Democrat, the people didn’t buy it and Haire won the primary. Also, it was reported at this time Weiss sent very nasty and threatening communications to the Maryland GOP staff during this primary on behalf of McMillan.
2023:
In early 2023 newly elected Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano in Annapolis reportedly had a meeting one day with Weiss and was said to be very “impressed”.
2024:
In late 2023 – early 2024 it was reported Giordano formally signed with Burton’s group for political consulting, Burton and Weiss advised Giordano during the 2024 election in the challenge against question A, where Giordano was most likely advised by Weiss to put Maryland Democrat Governor Wes Moore on signs and mailers with her.
The signs she had made with Governor Moore on them had an illegitimate authority line, along with hundreds of other signs against Question A, which were reported to the Maryland Board of Elections to which Giordano was initially fined over $2000 dollars, for campaigning with “illegal signs” during the 2024 Maryland Presidential election.
2025:
In July of 2025 Patrick Adkins announced he plans to run for Wicomico County Executive in the 2026 Republican primary, Adkins says he plans to raise no money has very close ties to Giordano and her top allies, and a political consultant who has a long history in Maryland running dirty political schemes across the State is on Giordano’s campaign payroll.
From all this this is why more and more people don’t believe Patrick Adkin’s campaign for County Executive is legit, this appears to be another political stunt cooked up by a political consultant who has a long history of this, to help her client who is a very troubled incumbent with a long list of scandals.
The Citizens of Wicomico County deserve better in 2026, let’s hope they get it.
So what’s the point?
The county needs better than the incompetent Queen Julie.
We need a real candidate – willing to work with the County Council..for the citizens.
