Tricia McLaughlin, the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has revealed that the FEMA funding intended for housing illegal immigrants under President Biden will be diverted in part to help build Florida’s ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’
If you haven’t heard about this thing yet, please go check out RedState Editor Bob Hoge’s excellent report.
Alligator Alcatraz is a brilliant, cost-effective detention facility in Florida’s Everglades, designed to securely hold criminal illegal immigrants with natural barriers like alligators and pythons, ensuring no escapes. It’s a bold step by Florida officials to enforce immigration laws and maintain community safety.
This thing is ‘Florida Man’ on steroids. And it’s something right out of the Trump playbook. It turns out that the administration will reportedly be contributing to the effort.
“I want to talk about the funding for this,” McLaughlin said in an interview with the Fox News show “America Reports.”
“Some of it will be paid by the state of Florida, but a lot of it will be paid by the federal government,” she revealed. “We’re actually looking at FEMA to fund this.”
“Through the Shelter and Services Program, which we saw in the Biden administration, that funding was bastardized to use for places like the Roosevelt Hotel, which is the place that housed Tren de Aragua—was really the base of operations there, as well as Laken Riley’s killer—so we’re going to take that funding and actually house these illegal aliens before we get them out the door and out of our country.”
Hey, it’s STILL for housing the illegals!!!
That’s right-free housing for every one of them in their own private hotel in the sunshine state. I love it!
