Calling it a “Biden-style government takeover,” Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins is promising to help a New Jersey family trying to save their 175-year-old farm from being seized by a local government to build “affordable housing” units.
The secretary also said the days of other family farm seizures across the country would soon be coming to an end.
Earlier this year, according to family member Andy Henry, the Cranbury, New Jersey, township government sent him a letter stating he could either accept an offer to buy the farm or it would be taken by eminent domain.
“My family sacrificed on this land for 175 years,” Henry told the Farm Journal’s AgWeb. “All the other farms disappeared. We did not. We will not.”
The U.S. Constitution empowers eminent domain to take property for the public good, but its application has been improperly expanded, say critics, to include seizures that benefit government through increased taxes
Sorry, but this a matter of State’s Rights and the Feds have nothing to do with it. You can’t support States Rights when it’s something you like (like restricting abortion) but trample it when you don’t.

The Federal Government has standing to protect family farms when deemed damage will adversely affect the nations food supply independence and safety. The food supply “directly” affects our national security and defense. The slippery slope principle applies in truth. What’s one farm? One farm is too much, when literally thousands of others added to this false ‘states’ right issue could very easliy follow based on the premise that 1 farm doesn’t matter. Working farms have “always” been regarded in current, present and past history as vital to the national health, safety and independence. Facts are stubborn things, as are hisorical presidents, but than goodness they exist. What’s next for Judge Jimmy? In God We trust and One Nation Under God…..historical presidents matter, not judicial satanic governmental takeover. Get over yourself, Judge Jimmy, and try living with the “Under God” part and not under “out of control and expanding government”.
