Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) slammed the Democrats who boycotted a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing into the alleged cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s mental decline.
In the clip shared on X on Wednesday, Cornyn noted that only two of his Democratic colleagues had attended the hearing into who was running the White House the last four years and the numerous uses of the autopen during Biden’s term. Only Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Peter Welch (D-VT) were in attendance.
During the hearing, “Unfit to Serve: How the Biden Coverup Endangered America and Undermined the Constitution,” Cornyn played a clip of Biden’s comments over the last few years that were obvious signs of his cognitive decline, including parts of his disastrous debate against President Donald Trump that led to the end of his second run for the presidency.
The senator said we now know that there was a conspiracy to hide Biden’s decline by his family, the White House staff, and even members of the media.
“Their self-interest and their fear of another Trump term justify an attempt to put an at-times addled old man in the Oval Office for four more years,” he added, stating we need to know who was in charge unequivocally.
