The Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sex-trafficking and racketeering trial is both a high-profile affair – with lots of famous people mentioned in the testimonies – and a high-stakes affair, because if convicted, the disgraced rapper can be sentenced to life in prison.
And we’ve had examples of that lately, with comedian Mike Myers dragged into the testimony of former assistant ‘Mia’ (pseudonym) in a context tied to the CIA, and also lots of drama in the courthouse.
Yesterday, 2 the prosecution slammed the defense for going overboard in their grilling of ‘Mia’, but the judge said he saw no impropriety in the cross-examination.
And today, more drama:
Mirror reported:
“Judge Arun Subramanian had a woman removed from the courtroom after she yelled.
‘Diddy, these m*****f*****s laughing at you’, she shouted. Diddy turned around in his seat when Subramanian yelled: ‘Escort her out right now!’ The woman, who appears to be a supporter of Didd, was swearing as she was led out.
Judge Arun Subramanian has [also] banned a man from being in the courtroom. The unnamed man, who was in the court on Monday, referred to Mia by her real name on YouTube, according to prosecutors.”
