Instead of supporting a plan that puts more money and control in the hands of parents and states, Weingarten and her union are fighting to keep the corrupt failing D.C. bureaucracy intact—prioritizing their own power over the success of America’s children.
The teachers’ unions are joined at the hip with the DNC, the latter depending on the former’s billions of campaign dollars, the former depending on the latter’s powers to control education legislation and bankroll it with taxpayer money. The chain must be broken.
