In it, an all-female cast of congressional Democrats and one “Bento Box Queen” (sorry, I’m out of the loop on who Suhlee Jessica Woo is) can be seen mimicking a video game’s “player selection” screen, bobbing up and down, holding their fists up. Underneath each person are several bullet points, some denoting racial characteristics while others are supposed to be playful references. For example, did you know Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is a “trekkie” or that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is “not a morning person?”
Surely, Republicans are finished after this.
Someone really should have helped Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA) out with her form because it’s, in a word, regrettable. One of my favorite parts of the video, though, is what it reveals about the egos of some of the members. Why am I supposed to care that Ocasio-Cortez is the “Youngest woman + Latina to be elected to the House” or that Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) is the “First Chinese-American elected to Congress?” It’s 2025. None of these racial qualifiers are impressive or interesting.
This is awesome!!!!! These idiots and their crackpot schemes continue to show just how out of touch with reality they are. Just wait until mid terms when all republicans will need to do is play this lame garbage back, and seal their fate!
