As the establishment tries to make Rep. Liz Cheney the face of the post-Trump Republican party, the congresswoman from Wyoming was given a Sunday morning TV forum to rage against the former POTUS.
Before Cheney’s emergence as the most prominent member of the GOP House caucus to join Nancy Pelosi’s lynch mob in the impeachment of private citizen Donald J. Trump, she was more well known for being the daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney.
Her appearance on “Fox News Sunday” must have made her old man proud as Cheney doubled down on impeachment and vowed that Trump will have no role as the party’s leader going forward.
Cheney also boasted about what she called a “massive criminal investigation underway” to persecute the nation’s 45th president over inciting the chaos in D.C. that resulted in the brief occupation of the U.S. Capitol and serves as the basis for the sham impeachment.
