Joe Biden has released a statement on the tragic shooting that occurred at Abundant Life Christian School on Monday, and it’s rightfully sparking controversy. As RedState reported, 15-year-old Natalie Lynn Rupnow opened fire, leaving two people dead. It appears she then committed suicide, as it has been confirmed no law enforcement officer discharged their weapon on the scene.
Having read some of the shooter’s “manifesto,” she was undoubtedly a disturbed individual. Her family life was chaotic at best, and she had expressed a desire to take her own life before committing the shooting. Further, she appeared to be obsessed with past school shooters.
In other words, there were a ton of warning signs, and if society wants to talk about how to prevent these types of attacks, the mental health of American adolescents has to be a primary concern. Of course, Joe Biden and the rest of his party can never let a tragedy go to waste. Instead of having a frank conversation about the root causes of school shootings, the president’s handlers did what they always do: Demand more “gun control.”
What makes that especially dishonest and ghoulish are the specific details of this shooting. Before we get there, though, here’s what was released by the White House.
