Beer and Spirits Maker Diageo Gives $10M to 25 Black Colleges, Including DSU

British-based beer and spirits maker Diageo is giving a combined $10 million to Delaware State University and 24 other historically Black colleges and universities across the United States, continuing an upswell of giving to the institutions following last summer’s racial justice protests.

The money, given by the company that makes and sells brands such as Guinness beer, Johnnie Walker whiskies and Smirnoff vodka, will create endowments to help colleges financially assist students. Diageo said it’s trying to help offset the higher student debt that graduates of historically Black colleges often accrue.

Diageo also said it will create innovation hubs at some of the colleges, providing students with experience, mentorships, guest lecturers and helping faculty developing curriculum. Locations for the hubs will be announced later.

Here’s a picture of their brands, so you can decide it you want your money to support this obvious racial divide.

  1. Luckily I don’t require anything shown in photo or I would roll sober. Screw them. Why do black college folk get it. Well guess ran by damorat’s therefore not managed well, like the cities. Joey should chip in some of Hunters fortune to fight equity.

  2. I will never buy any liquor from these racists again . Makes no sense how these companies always reward those who cant usually afford their products. Why don’t these idiots lower their prices if they can afford to waste 10 million !

  3. Hope they remember to include Yale, they’re a shadow HBCU since they discriminate against whites and Asians.

Good to see DSU, one of Biteme’s claimed alma maters, is able to pony up to the bar.
