Eastern Shore Kraft Heinz factory to be transformed into cannabis growing operation

A Baltimore native plans to transform a former Kraft Heinz food manufacturing plant on the Eastern Shore into a cannabis growing operation.

MAS Alliance, led by CEO Seth Murphy, plans to start building out a 6,000-square-foot growing space on the 22-acre site by the end of the year. Murphy picked the Federalsburg location because of the size of the old factory. The Kraft site has 125,000 square feet of indoor space spread across five buildings, offering plenty of opportunities to expand as the business grows.
