We would like to invite you to join your Assateague Coastkeeper, Taylor Swanson, for an informational hearing from the MD Forest Service about Maryland State Forests on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 6PM to 8PM at the Manokin Pavilion in Pocomoke River State Park.
Together our voice is loudest!
A section of the Pocomoke State Forest is under threat. This 100 year old growth woodland, including public trails, is smack in the middle of a ‘forest management’ plan allowing for timber harvest.

In the event of inclement weather, the session will be held at the Park’s Camp store. The Manokin pavilion is located at the Shad Landing Area of Pocomoke State Park, at 3461 Worcester Highway, Snow Hill, MD 21863.
