Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC), representing a district in the western portion of the state battered by Hurricane Helene, released a press release Sunday detailing the infrastructure devastation.
Edwards said power outages remain widespread in Western North Carolina as of Sunday. Fast-forward to Wednesday morning, Poweroutage.US data shows more than 400,000 residents are without power in the region.
4 billion of your tax dollars has went to broadband and not one home is hooked in because the contractors couldn’t meet DEI standards.So how many politicians and the politically connected financially for the 4 billion?
Why not put those victims of the storm up in fancy hotels, like they have done with the illegals?

My daughter lives in Bakersville, NC, the county seat for Mitchell County. Mountains of western North Carolina, 40 miles from Johnson City TN.
The people up there are in serious trouble. Lots of old people who now have nothing but the clothes they were wearing. No homes. No electricity. Roads washed out. No food and no way to get to them. Many, many of them still missing. Likely dead.
Essentially living outside and it’s already pretty cold up in the mountains.
But, I feel better knowing that thousands of people who swam across the Rio Grande this summer are living comfortably in hotels in LA, New York, and Washington, DC.
Our leaders. What a bunch of great guys. Putting our tax money where it means the most (future voters).
