Media is all in this morning, declaring Vice President Kamala Harris the winner of their first and probably only presidential debate between her and former President Donald Trump, although the Harris team is offering a second debate. That may be an indication that her team doesn’t really feel good about it, and/or the internals are still bad for her. If they really thought she destroyed Trump, presumably, they would say, “Great, and we’re done.”
But people on the right were definitely infuriated at how the debate went down. I think the fact that the CNN debate was relatively fair may have lulled folks into a sense of security, but ABC allowed Harris to behave badly, making faces and lying through the night.
Megyn Kelly ripped into the ABC moderators on X, noting even how the choice of questions and the setup seemed designed to favor Harris. The top issue with voters is the economy, but they kept talking about other things and hoaxes about Trump, “Every single q is about Trump controversies – putting him on the hot seat on them and THEN A FOLLOW UP TO HER TO LET HER DUMP ON HIM FOR 2 MINS.”
Kelly noted the unfairness in the fact-checking, “The absolute gall of ABC to keep ‘fact checking’ ONLY Trump while letting her lie in every answer is infuriating.”
“These moderators are a disgraceful failure and this is one of the most biased, unfair debates I have ever seen. Shame on you, ABC,” she scolded them.
“The pile-on against Trump is so bad and so obvious this will backfire,” she declared.
Then, on her show, she was livid and on fire.
It was three against one.
